steve trapero took his first photography class circa 1990, while studying graphic design at world famous art center college of design in pasadena, california. the class was an analog black & white film class, which steve loved and did well in. he enjoyed the class so much that he seriously considered taking photography up as a hobby. when considering the staggering costs involved, he decided to put it off, maybe picking it up later. later would come some 14 years down the road. in 2004, steve and his wife yvonne were in hawaii on their honeymoon. unpacking their suitcases it was discovered that both had forgotten to pack their film cameras. steve went straight out to buy his first digital camera, a lowly 3.2 megapixel fujifilm camera. a year later, and some 20,000 images shot, steve suspected photography was becoming more than a mere hobby. also in 2005, steve licensed his first 3 images to book publishers. 2 years later, in 2007 steve bought his next digital camera, a much higher end 9.1 megapixel fujifilm camera. later the same year, steve took his second photography class to refresh his understanding of manual settings. he also purchased a pair of studio lights, (which sadly would sit in their shipping package for almost 6 months) until his finnish photographer / friend matti sulanto would properly show him how to use them over a series of 2 studio lighting shoots. on december 31, 2007 steve and yvonne threw a new year's eve party to officially launch the grand opening of Pinnacle Design Center! a very limited number of self-promotional calendars of steve's photography was given away at the party, with a few others sent to a handful of current design clients as well. the calendar was called "nouns: people, places + things". when steve sat down to figure out what to call the calendar, basically he realized that this title summed up everything steve was shooting at the time. today, steve is quite prolific, having shot hundreds of thousands of images! he is always seeking to improve his skills and shoots an amazing variety of photographic genres, including abstract, commercial, children, food, product, creative, portrait, casual fashion, glamour, bikini & swimsuit, underwater, lingerie, pin-up, fetish, goth, horror, cosplay, body painting, implied nudes, nudes, and erotica. please, keep this in mind when reviewing steve's work. steve's proud and extremely passionate about his photographic work! we hope you are too! if interested in hiring steve for a commercial shoot, an agency wanting him to shoot your models, a model wanting to build a portfolio, a model wanting to be mentored by steve, or someone interested licensing or obtaining prints of steve's work, please contact us by email at:[email protected] or 626-376-6951 to obtain rates and more information. thanks for checking out the work! enjoy! |
